Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join Alter Domus Malta’s growing and dynamic Finance team. As part of an international team, the individual will be responsible for various internal accounting needs for our office in Malta and overseas subsidiaries.

Your role will include the following responsibilities:  

  • Processing and posting creditor invoices on concur accounting system on a daily basis;
  • Performing creditor reconciliations on a monthly basis and investigating any reconciling items;
  • Updating bank records on SAP accounting system on a daily basis and following up and investigating any unallocated receipts and/or payments;
  • Performing inter-company reconciliations and investigating and following up on any discrepancies;
  • Reconciling inter-company interest receivable and payable;
  • Control over the petty cash function;
  • Preparing and processing creditor payments (via online banking or cheque);
  • Maintenance and updating of fixed asset schedules;
  • Filing of all documents on a regular basis;
  • Assisting the financial controller in delivering any audit requirements;
  • Any other duties that may be required in the carrying out of the finance function.

Your Profile:

  • You have an advanced level in Accounts with sound knowledge of basic accounting principles;
  • IT skills: knowledge of SAP will be considerate as a strong asset as well as Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Previous experience working in the services industry will be considered an asset;
  • Commitment to quality;
  • Ability to work under own initiative;
  • Team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who can interact with various members of the local and overseas finance teams;
  • Self-motivated and mature.
