Group Marketing Executive

Job Description

Purpose of this role
To support the group in achieving its strategy and targets by developing marketing and advertising strategies that match customer requirements and promote products, services and ideas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Devising and presenting marketing plans, and strategies with key objectives
  • Managing budgets
  • Coordinating promotional activities
  • Organising events and product exhibitions
  • Overseeing and developing, evaluating, and managing campaigns on social media
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts
  • Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, and e-newsletters
  • Content management with particular emphasis on writing and proofreading
  • Liaising with designers and printers
  • Organising photoshoots
  • Responsible for arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Sourcing and securing sponsorships
  • Monitoring competitor activity and daily news to be able to act upon or advertise anything relevant to the company of the products and services it offers
  • Liaising with events coordinators to maximise visibility at conferences, receptions, and exhibitions, including compiling product and literature lists to display and demonstrate
  • Administrate the group’s social media accounts such as Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram
  • Post relevant news, announcements, and upcoming events on social media
  • Liaise with different stakeholders such as the company directors, the social committee and HODs to deliver the correct message through different channels available
  • Support the management in any internal company briefings or activities as necessary
  • Monitoring websites and looking at data analytics, SEO
  • Updating databases and using CRM system
  • Follow the company’s KPI’s

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills one-to-one and in groups
  • Creative thinking when it comes to developing, designing, and / or creating new ideas and campaigns
  • Strong sense of leadership and learning orientation
  • Ability to take an initiative and act on what’s required
  • Project management skills including flexibility and prioritisation of tasks

Requirements

  • An MQF Level 6 degree or higher in Strategic and Digital Marketing
  • Excellent written and oral proficiency in both English and Maltese
  • Strong proficiency with the Internet, Microsoft Office, and multi-media / video tools
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing
  • Proficiency in social media channels
