Job Description

As a result of the continued growth within the company, we are looking for an Accounts and HR Administrator. This position is responsible for accounting and human resource administrative functions required for financial management and human resources.

Accounting Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing and assisting with monthly management report analysis
  • Assisting with Book-keeping, administrative requirements, and procedures
  • Analyzing account information
  • Preparing salaries for the employees
  • Documenting financial transactions
  • Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  • Summarizing current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
  • Supports financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Support in the review of month-end financial statements including any unusual gross profit levels and notifying supervisor of any unusual items

Human Resources Duties and Responsibilities

  • Forming and maintaining employee records
  • Updating databases internally, such as sick and maternity leave
  • Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts and recruitment guides
  • Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR-related queries
  • Updating databases internally, such as sick and annual leave
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management


  • Experience as an HR Administrator or HR Administrator’s Assistant
  • Computer literate with programmes such as word, excel, etc.
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Interpersonal with good communicative skills
  • Proficient in SAGE
  • Proficient in Shireburn Payroll
  • Previous practical Accounting and / or Auditing experience is considered an asset, but not a necessity
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail
