It is essential that you have the following requirements:
  • Preferably a bachelor degree in economics, business studies, market research which can be substituted against demonstrable experience together with a minimum diploma level of qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Proven market research analysis experience.
  • Good planning, organisation, prioritisation and monitoring skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal (Maltese and English) communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of statistical packages (such as SPSS).
  • Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen.
  • Good working knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc).

It is also desirable that you possess:
  • Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.

If this describes you, then this is a glimpse of what you'll be required to do:

  • Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research.
  • Compile and analyse statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
  • Consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations.
  • Follow up on the actionable items derived from research.
  • Attending focus groups as an observer.
  • Monitoring of industry statistics and follow industry trends in similar foreign markets. This includes collection and collation of data from external sources for analysis of market research trends.
  • Building formalised research templates, device methods of collecting data, preparing research briefs and research tools, and identifying existing data from within the company.
  • Managing market tracking research studies by issuing RFQs and liaising with local and foreign market research agencies.
  • Maintaining a professional level of relationship with the company’s appointed market research agencies.
